Brands Hatch Race Report
27/05/14 - Two podiums, two class wins and a celebration of 50 years since the first F1 race at the circuit
A fine grid for the FIA Masters Historic Formula One and HGPCA Championships. They delivered a fine spectacle for an excited crowd as the event marked 50 years since the first Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.
Andrew Beaumont claimed 3rd in both HGPCA races in his type 24 and 3rd in class (8th overall) for both Masters races in his type 76. Reigning Masters champion Greg Thornton was a star of the race as he fought his Lotus Type 91 from the back of the grid, following an off in qualifying, to take fourth from Silvio Kalb in an Arrows A4. Kalb just headed Thornton in another exciting battle in the second race leaving Greg on 5th.
We were very pleased to offer type 97T, (Ayrton Senna's first Grand Prix winner) for static display to help celebrate 50 years since the first Grand Prix at Brands Hatch
