The most successful Lotus in history. It won 2 World Championships (Jochen Rindt 1970 and Emerson Fittipaldi 1972), ran for a staggering 6 seasons and won 20 Grand Prix.
With a plethora of innovations such as the in-board brakes, the wedge-shaped chassis, designed to take wings, airbox, torsion bar suspension, dry sump engine, radiatior moved to sides, slick tyres to name but a few. This car really left the opposition in the dust.
This replica nose cone would fit perfectly into a true Team Lotus fanatics garage.

Jim Clark’s 1967 Team Lotus type 49 in which he won first time out at the Dutch GP, Zandvoort. Jimmy also won the British GP and US GP in the same year, plus a famous drive at Monza
Following the popularity of the 97T and 99T nosecones, we got thinking about what other iconic noses we could turn into funky pieces of art.
This is from the mould of the type 79, the last Lotus to win a World Championship. Mario Andretti and Ronnie Peterson were the drivers in 1978, it was a real team effort.
The nose can be liveried in either number 5 for Mario Andretti or number 6 for Ronnie Peterson.
Please note: The nose does not include the front wings, wall-mounting plate or spotlight

In 1973 Team Lotus mechcnics, guided by Michael (Luke) Watson produced a record 'Team Lotus Sings'. The record has two songs, 'The Champions' and 'Workin' al' nighter'.
The sleeve, signed by Hazel Chapman, the late Peter Warr and Eddie Dennis. A limited edition of 50 and all proceeds go to The Mechanics Trust.
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Emerson Fittipaldi was kind enough to sign 12 copies of the vinyl record Team Lotus Sings!
They are numbered and also signed by Hazel Chapman, Peter Warr and Eddie Dennis with all proceeds being forwarded to the Grand Prix Mechanics Trust.
In our travels around the world of historic Motorsport we find that the Lotus type 72 is the car that is most recognizable above all others.
The wedge shape, the black and gold livery and six seasons of World Championship competition make it the favourite Lotus for many Motorsport enthusiasts.
The anvil style airbox is an icon for the type 72 and it occurred to us that it would make an impressive piece of memorabilia. Using a mould taken from the airbox of 72/5 (the greatest of all the type 72 chassis) we have created half sections that are perfect for displaying on the wall.
In the midst of admiring our handiwork it dawned on us that we could take it a step further and install downlights in the inlet trumpet holes; splendid!
However you might choose to use the airbox is up to you, but please let us know if you come up with anything else that is similarly cunning.
The clever people in the Classic Team Lotus Composite shop recognised the type 97T nosecone as an iconic piece of Team Lotus F1 design and livery, so they dug out the mould and suggested we recreate them. Then the clever people in the merchandising department reckoned the nosecone could be displayed and used at the same time….as an uplighter. The nosecone is sold complete with a wall mounting plate, and it is straightforward to acquire a suitable low voltage uplighting unit, should you so wish.
Of course the 97T is most famous for Ayrton Senna’s first Grand Prix victory at Portugal 1985. Indeed, Ayrton himself said that this was his greatest ever race. The 97T was very competitive throughout the season, taking 8 poles; 7 by Senna and 1 by De Angelis. Senna won brilliantly at Estoril where he won by over a minute in monsoon conditions; his second win came at Spa in a wet/dry race. Elio took a very popular win at Imola and was a leading Championship contender for most of the season.

Number 11 Satoru Nakajima or Number 12 Ayrton Senna
Team Lotus was proud to display the green and gold Team Lotus version of the traditional Lotus ACBC nosebadge on the nose of the type 99T. This was especially appropriate as the 99T featured yet another great Lotus innovation, namely Active Suspension. The 99T proved to be very competitive in the hands of Ayrton Senna, who realised his first Monaco win and the team's last Grand Prix win at Detroit.

Team Lotus and Cosworth Engineering made history together with the Ford Cosworth DFV engine powering our Lotus type 49. Car and engine won the first time out and this famous combination went on to win 5 World Championship Constructors' titles.
These valves were from the dreaded engine rebuilds that were required around the 500 mile mark, as a rule. As you can imagine the team amassed quite a few of them over them years. In an effort to recover a small fraction of the rebuild costs we offer pairs of valves for sale, polished and mounted on a plinth, complete with an engraved plaque.
Lotus and the Ford Cosworth DFV engine are inextricably linked. Colin Chapman, Keith Duckworth and Mike Costin worked together to create the greatest engine motor sport has ever seen. The DFV powered F1 cars from 1967 to 1985, an astonishing 19 seasons in the rarified atmosphere of Grand Prix where innovation was king and one season’s World beater would be next season’s backmarker. In the 70s and 80s the team was in the habit of keeping the pistons from rebuilds to use as VIP gifts. Each engine’s pistons were labeled and stored; not all were presented. With reference to the team’s archives we are able to identify the detail competition history for the engines in which the pistons ran. A great deal of polishing, then mounting on a wooden plinth, complete with presentation plaque, makes a rather special item of memorabilia.
Like all good things, this product is coming to an end. We shall soon be sold out and therefore, will no longer be available - don't miss out!
